Not sure if vaping is for you? If you’ve been left underwhelmed by e-cigarettes so far, you might consider giving up, but with a degree of know-how, the right e-liquid and a bit of practice, there are plenty of things you can do to improve your vaping experience.
Know your way around a vape device
When you take up vaping, the sheer amount of kit and jargon can be a little intimidating, but it’s worth taking the time to understand how it all works. Read our beginner’s guide to vaping to get to grips with the anatomy of an e-cig. This will help you use your vaping device properly and identify any issues that are stopping you from enjoying your vape (such as burnt-out coils). Our e-cig tips and tricks are also handy to refer to, if you’re not sure how to use your device.
Experiment with different e-liquids
If you’re new to vaping, it’s good to experiment with different flavours to see which one you like best. There’s a vast range of e-liquids available, including traditional tobacco and menthol, to fruity and sweet flavours.
Invest in high-quality equipment
Many new vapers start off with a cheap, disposable vape device, but in the long-term, you’re likely to find that a reusable vape device delivers a superior vaping experience. It’s worth taking some time to choose the kit that’s right for you.
The quality of your vaping experience depends hugely on which e-liquid you use, and as with most things, you get what you pay for. Cheaper e-liquids may save you cash, but may not deliver a satisfying flavour. We recommend high quality vape juice from reputable brands like Hangsen.
Ask for tips on technique
If you’re not enjoying your vaping experience, your technique may need a bit of work. Nobody gets it right first time, but don’t worry, you’ll get there! There’s plenty of help and advice out there for new vapers – ask friends or our experts for tips, or do a bit of reading online. Change your coils regularly
Does your e-liquid have a ‘burnt’ flavour? If so, it’s time to change your coils. You must do this regularly (on average every two weeks, if you’re vaping throughout the day). Make sure you have a supply of replacement coils ready as and when they’re needed.
Keep the tank clean
We’ve recommended shopping around for different e-liquids, but if you don’t clean your tank when changing flavours, you’re likely to end up with a very strange mixture of tastes. Cleaning your vape tank is easy to do, and it’ll help you get the best from your vaping experience.
Store your vape kit safely
Vaping devices and batteries need to be stored and maintained properly. Heat and moisture can affect their safety and the quality of your vaping experience, so invest in a carry case where you can store your kit and take it with you on the move.
