Welcome to the Kanger Topbox Mini Kit (Review)

Kanger have been on fire over recent months, bring us lots of new hardware to enrich our vaping experience. The latest in their line of new developments is the Kanger Topbox Mini Kit.

Toptank Kanger Mini

What Is It?

The Kanger Topbox Mini Kit is another step forward when it comes to power at minimal cost and maintenance. The kit includes a temperature controlled ‘Topbox’ mod which produces between 7 and 75 watts of power. It has a spring loaded centre pin and fires as low as 0.1ohm. The Topbox takes a single 18650 (Not included) that can be charged inside the mod via a micro USB. The Toptank Mini which is included in this kit is a top filling tank, which is a welcome improvement that allows for filling on the go without having to remove the tank. The Toptank has a 4ml juice capacity and comes with three coils to get you started. It has an adjustable airflow, a Pyrex tank, 510 connections and a 510 replaceable drip-tip.

What’s Good About It?

The Topbox Mini is a step above the Subox, which in itself was a remarkable new product for Kanger. It has a beastly 75w capability and is temperature controlled. The temperature control system can use Ni200, Ti, SS and Ni-Chrome wire coils. In keeping with Kangers move into the sub ohm market, the Topbox Mini has a super low resistance that can fire down to 0.1 ohms.

It has all the safety features you would expect, including short circuit protection, open circuit protection, puff time shutoff and low battery warnings.

The tank itself is top filling (hence the name), which means you can fill on the go rather than faff around unscrewing the tank from the battery. It has a decent 4ml capacity and an adjustable air flow.

The Topbox Mini is a step up from the Subox not just on features but on performance as well. The temperature control gives your vape a full flavour and a denser vapour production. It is packed with power pushing right up to 75w so will satisfy most vapers, and at the price it’s offered at for a sub ohm vape it’s a steal.

Looks wise, I think it looks great. It has that sleek futuristic look that Kanger have gone for in recent months. It comes in 4 colours, black, platinum, white and red, and the digital display and finish sits really well with the device.

As a starter kit the Topbox Mini is highly recommended and gaining great reviews across the Web. Kanger are one of the most popular manufacturers for beginner vapers and they’re steadily moving into the advanced market. We all watch the cloud chasing videos on social media and with this kit you can chase some pretty impressive clouds yourself. It’s not quite as demonic as some of the really advanced kits, but for £51.99 it’s a great entry into that cloud chasing world.

All in all we’d say the Kanger Topbox Mini is a great piece of kit and well worth the price tag. You get a lot for your money with this package and it’ll provide a great vaping experience for a long time to come.
