Evod Single Kit vs Evod Mega Kit

Evod Single Kit vs Evod Mega Kit

Evod Blister Pack

Kanger Evod Kits are among our biggest sellers on Smokshop.com and are perfect for beginners that are just getting started with vaping. An Evod kit has everything you need to get your vape on right out of the box. Including a battery, a charger and an atomiser, and as always with Kanger the parts are high quality and reasonably priced.

Customers browsing our website will have noticed that we have a few different Evod kits available. We have the starter kit, which is a bundle of two e cigarettes supplied in a well presented gift box, and we have two single kits, the Single and the Mega. Both the Single the Mega Kit contain a fully working e cigarette, with the Mega being slightly more expensive. So what exactly are the differences between them? Today we are going to find out.

Single vs Mega

Battery

Single Kit – contains 1 x Evod 650mAh battery
Mega Kit – contains 1 x Evod 1900mAh battery

You don’t have to be a genius to work out that the battery on the Mega kit is far more powerful than the Single kit. The mAh of the battery stands for “Milli Amp Hours” and is the capacity of the battery. The higher the capacity of the battery, the longer it will last. So a 1900mAh battery is going to give you a lot more vaping time between charges than a 650mAh battery. They are both fixed volt batteries at 3.7 volts, but as the Mega kit has a much higher capacity at 1900mAh it means it will last much longer before it needs recharging. This means that when it comes to battery life the Mega kit comes out the clear winner.

Atomiser

Single Kit – contains 1 x 1.6ml bottom coil clearomizer
Mega Kit – contains 1 x 2.5ml dual coil clearomizer

Again it doesn’t take a genius to work out that the Mega kit has a bigger capacity tank than the single kit with 2.5ml opposed to 1.6ml. This again provides more vaping time between refills holding over 50% more e liquid.

The Mega kit also has a dual coil tank as opposed to a bottom coil. A dual coil will provide more vapour and is perfect for those vapers that like a big cloud when they puff. For a dual coil atomiser to work efficiently it does require a bigger battery, as it has more surface area to heat up. The suggested minimum is 650mAh, which the Single kit does contain, but it will work much more efficiently on the 1900mAh that comes supplied with the Mega kit.

The Verdict

So in all the Mega kit is bigger in every way over the Single kit. It has a more powerful vape, it lasts longer and it can contain more e liquid. It is priced a little higher. The Single kit is £13.99 and the Mega kit is £19.99, but if you like the convenience of fewer charges and fewer refills then it is well worth the extra money. Plus with the dual coil tank, if you like a bigger puff then the Mega kit is definitely for you. As always with e cigarettes though, each vaper has their own preference and if you are just starting out then the Single kit is a perfectly good buy and a great way to introduce yourself to the world of vaping.
