Electronic Cigarette Bling

We all love a bit of bling don’t we? From our mobile phones to our cars we just can’t get enough of adding some bling to our lives, and now the same goes for our e cigarettes.

With all of the different tanks, dripping atomizers, batteries and modifications out there, it is now becoming common for us to want to personalise our E Cigs and make them our own. Today we are going to go over some of the different accessories which can help you customise your electronic cigarette and give it a new look and feel. We will also show you some additions that will help make your existing E Cig compatible with otherwise incompatible devices.

Drip Tips and Mouth Pieces

Changing the drip tip or mouth piece to your electronic cigarette is the most common form of customisation, and is usually the first accessory that is purchased to personalise your E Cig. There are literally hundreds to choose from and they come in a wide range of colours and materials. The most common drip tip on the market at the moment is the 510 drip tip. This refers to the size of the connecting part of the drip tip that is inserted into your atomizer. Certain clearomizers such as the CE4 and REDUX use a drip tip that is specifically designed to screw into the tank section, and therefore are not usually compatible with 510 drip tips as standard.

Drip tips come in all shapes and sizes and can be made from stainless steel, brass, acrylic, glass, plastic and silicone. Each material can offer different benefits to the user.

Metal drip tips are harder wearing and can make the vapour cooler, but some find they can leave a metallic taste in the mouth.

Plastic and acrylic drip tips can offer a warmer vape, and in some cases are cheaper to buy as producing them is less expensive.

Glass drip tips offer a warmer vape and a clean flavour but can be more expensive as they are harder to produce, and silicone has the advantages of providing a warm vape with the added benefit of being flexible for those who like to chew or bite down on the tip of their electronic cigarette.

Cases and stands

While eGo cases and stands for your electronic cigarette may not be the most prominent way of customizing your kit, they do play an important role in making sure your E-Cig is protected. An eGo case is a simple protective case that houses your electronic cigarette, e-liquid, charger, atomizer heads and more. When you are on the move this is not only handy, but also having them inside a case while transporting insures a minimum chance of your equipment breaking.

We look at it this way: When we were smoking cigarettes we would never put a cigarette directly into our pocket or handbag, as we know it would break, and our E-Cigs deserve the same treatment. Stands such as the SmokTech silicone eGo battery stand serve a similar purpose. It stops your electronic cigarette from rolling off your table or side and hitting the floor. This cool little accessory is a cost effective way of ensuring you protect your gear. The combination of an eGo case, for when you’re on the move, and a stand when indoors is a sure fire way to make sure no damage will come to your E-Cig.

Adapters for your electronic cigarettes are a way of making incompatible devices work with each other, and are usually a fraction of the cost of buying new equipment. The most common kind of adapter is a 510 connection eGo Adapter. This is a simple metal adapter that screws into your 510 thread, making it capable of taking an eGo threaded tank such as the EVOD 2 or SmokTech Aro 2 clearomizer. This saves on having to purchase new tanks for a new mod, or in the worse case a new mod for your preferred tanks, which could be very expensive.

Most new mods will now house both sets of threading but there are some that don’t, such as the SmokTech Z-Max. Without an adapter the SmokTech Z-Max will not work with some of our great new tanks. Another kind of adapter is the SmokTech omnidaptor which enables the user to use a single 18350 battery in an 18500 or 18650 mod. This is great for those who do not want to purchase additional batteries to use their new equipment.

Whether it’s a concert, or just out and about a lanyard is a really handy way of transporting your E-Cig while keeping it at hands reach and protecting it from harm. We have several types of E-Cig lanyard such as the Aro and EVOD lanyard, as well as our eGo battery lanyards and Innokin carry pouch. All are designed to transport your E-Cig around your neck while keeping your hands and pockets free.

We are sure there are many other ways to add some bling to your E-cig. We would love to hear how you personalise yours. Feel free to drop us a comment on your thoughts about E-cig bling. We may even run a competition for the “blingiest” E-cig! Let us know in the form below.
